History Carved in Stone at Istanbul Archaeology Museums, Turkey, a stomping ground for tourists




Istanbul Archaeological Museum is the most historical venue in Istanbul that has a unique collection of artefacts and sculptures both from Turkey and the Middle East. It consists of three sections, the main one is the Archaeology Museum, the other two are Museum of the Ancient Orient and Tiled Pavilion of Mehmed the Conqueror. You will find treasures on display here from Egyptian, Roman, Byzantine, and Hittite civilization.
